They make themes better
Localization
Dottoro Theme is completely localization ready.
Text contents in the theme are in language resource files, thus you can easily localize contents and admin.
For localization, you only have to make a language file; there's no need to bother with the source code to translate them to the desired language.
How to translate
In accordance with WordPress standards, text contents in the themes are located in .po language files.
The translated .mo files are also a part of the package.
The theme contains two .po files; one containing the admin resources, the other the ones applied on sites available for your visitors.
Thus, if you only want to translate the content available for your visitors, you can easily do it.
Translation files
You will find the language files in the directories
WordPress themes folder / dottoro / admin / languages
and
WordPress themes folder / dottoro / content / languages.
In each folder you will find files default.po and default.mo.
To create your own language file all you have to do is save a copy of default.po and rename it to you locale (e.g. en_US.po).
Make the changes in the content of the new file and save it.
The file you created must be in the same folder as default.po.
Then compile an .mo file from your .po file.
