8.1 Widgets on the Sidebar

The Dottoro Theme provides efficient tools for displaying widgets on the sidebar and creating their layout. The theme comes with a couple of predefined widget areas that are designed to be placed on the sidebar, and you can create custom widget areas as well.

The following predefined widget areas are designed to placed on the sidebar: Predefined widget areas are created to meet the most frequent needs of users. If they don't provide enough flexibility, you can always create custom widget areas.

Custom widget areas can be created under Theme Options » Widget Areas. Here you cannot only create widget areas but you can edit the layout of widgets in both the predefined and custom widget areas.

After creating the necessary widget areas you can add widgets to them under Appearance » Widgets in WordPress admin panel.

Having done all this, you only have to decide where you want to display your custom widget areas.
You can select the widget areas you want to display in the sidebar in the "Sidebar and Footer Widget Areas" section under Theme Options » General » General. This setting can be overridden

The width and alignment of the sidebar can be set in the theme editor (Sidebar menu). Since it is often necessary to change the position of the sidebar or hide it on certain pages, the theme allows you to do this.
