A Breadcrumb trail is a navigation aid that makes the route to a page visible to the visitors. With breadcrumbs your visitors will easily orientate on your website and by clicking on a breadcrumb item they can directly open the page it points to. Breadcrumbs help search engines crawl your pages and easily understand its hierarchy. Also, your breadcrumb will be added to the bottom of your Google SERP listing entry and your visitor surfs better.

You will find breadcrumb settings under Theme Options » General » Breadcrumb:

Settings
Show Breadcrumb Set whether to display the breadcrumb or not. This setting applies to the whole website but you can change it for each page.
Separator Sets the text that separates breadcrumb items.
Nofollow links Here you can specify whether to use nofollow links or not. Search engines do not crawl nofollow links.
More on nofollow (Wikipedia).
Show matching page Set whether the title of the matching page should appear in the breadcrumb on post, category, tag and date pages.
Show post type Set whether the post type should appear in the breadcrumb on post, category, tag and date pages.
Show category of posts Set whether the category should appear in the breadcrumb on post pages.
Show taxonomy of terms Set whether the taxonomy should appear in the breadcrumb on category and tag pages.
Category label Set whether to display slugs or names of tags and categories (a slug is a link friendly name).
